In the 2018 Midterm Elections, thousands of voters took to the polls to choose who was going to best represent their wants and needs in office. By the times those polls closed and ballots were tallied, two new trustees were elected to the Delta College board of trustees, with another member being elected to continue his term.

While the election hype has died down for many, this wasn’t the case for the many community members who came to the January Delta College board of trustees meeting to publicly congratulate the new trustees. With this being the first meeting of the year, the newly elected trustees Marcia Thomas and Stacey Gannon were sworn in. Long-time trustee Michael Rowley was similarly elected for another term.

Both new members received overwhelming support, with community organizations such as Delta Sigma Theta from Saginaw giving their endorsement of Thomas publicly while Gannon received praise from her fellow trustees.
